Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
This policy explains what happens to your information if you get in touch with Poppy Sterling through poppysterling.com.
Who is responsible for your data
Poppy Sterling is the data controller for this site. You can reach her directly at contact@poppysterling.com.
What happens when you use the contact form
This site does not run a server-side form processor. When you submit the contact form, your device opens your own email application with a message already addressed to contact@poppysterling.com. The message is sent from your own email provider and is not stored on this website or on any server behind it.
What data is involved
Only what you choose to type into the form: your name, email address and message.
Why this data is processed
Solely to read and reply to your message. There is no marketing use, no resale and no automated profiling.
How long it is kept
Once your message reaches Poppy's inbox, it is kept only as long as needed to handle the conversation, then deleted in the ordinary course of inbox housekeeping.
Cookies, fonts and tracking
This site does not use cookies, analytics or tracking scripts, and it stores nothing in your browser. The typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests them from Google's servers and Google receives your IP address as part of that request.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask what data is held about you, correct it, have it deleted, restrict how it is used, object to its use, or receive a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email contact@poppysterling.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
Changes to this policy
If this policy is updated, the date above will change accordingly.
